Dr. Carpenter graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed a Family Medicine residency at York Hospital. She served in the Public Health Service on an Indian reservation in Ganado, Arizona for four years where she maintained an active obstetrical practice.
Dr. Carpenter is currently in a group practice in York and is board-certified in Family Medicine. She has special interests in office procedures, other women's health care issues, attention deficit disorder and children with special needs. She was the 2003 Recipient of the AAFP and Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians Part-time Teacher of the year award.
