Why did I choose York Hospital's residency program?
I was born and raised in Connecticut where I also did my undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut and, after two gap years, went to medical school at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine (Quinnipiac University). During my gap years, I traveled, scribed in an Emergency Department and even worked in hospitality on a sailboat in New Zealand for a short time. During medical school, I combined my longstanding interest in global health with my enthusiasm for Women’s health and conducted qualitative interviews amongst migrant women in the Dominican Republic. This work, focused on postpartum care and preventative medicine, is something that I am particularly passionate about and interested in applying during my residency training. I am looking forward to this next chapter at WellSpan York Hospital and am excited for this opportunity to learn from my colleagues. In my spare time, I love going on mini-adventures with my husband, catching up with family and friends, playing board games and consuming large amounts of Thai food. |
