A WellSpan Health resident was recently named the recipient of a Golden Apple Award by the student body at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Ashley Uvanni, a resident at WellSpan York Hospital, was selected by the school’s Class of 2023 to receive one of this year’s Golden Apple Awards for her exceptional contributions as a clinical instructor and mentor.

The award recognizes the faculty and mentors at Drexel University College of Medicine, who have dedicated their time and efforts to ensure the success of the educational program and the medical student experience.

Students nominate and provide comments on the faculty, residents and non-faculty members who have exhibited exceptional teaching skills, facilitated learning and promoted a positive learning environment.
